Transport & connectivity

Connectivity for every site, designed before the quotes.

Nimbl Networks is a technology advisory firm based in Dallas, Texas, that helps multi-site organizations design, negotiate, implement and support telecom and managed services. For transport, that starts with a high-level design for every site. Then we compare dedicated internet access (DIA), wave transport, MPLS, business broadband and bandwidth aggregation options across hundreds of suppliers, side by side.

What we help you get right

Dedicated internet, broadband and WAN, matched to each site.

Where we help

  • Dedicated internet, wave transport, MPLS, business broadband and bandwidth aggregation for each site
  • Redundancy and path diversity designed before any supplier is engaged
  • Multi-site WAN design, including readiness for SD-WAN
  • Quote comparison and contract review across suppliers
  • Order and install-date tracking through turn-up
  • Escalations, billing accuracy and renewal monitoring after go-live

Signs it’s time to review

  • A circuit contract renews in the next 6 to 12 months
  • You are opening, moving or consolidating sites
  • Outages or slow links are costing your teams time
  • Bandwidth needs have outgrown the original design
  • A carrier is retiring legacy services at one of your sites

How we work on transport & connectivity

Design, Negotiate, Implement, Support.

The same four steps as everything we do, with transport specifics.

  1. 01

    Design

We map every site’s bandwidth, redundancy and growth needs into a high-level design before any supplier is engaged.

  2. 02

    Negotiate

We compare DIA, broadband and aggregation options across hundreds of suppliers on price, terms and how well each one delivers.

  3. 03

    Implement

A project advocate tracks orders, install dates and turn-up, and escalates on your behalf when something slips.

  4. 04

    Support

After go-live we stay on for escalations, billing accuracy checks and renewal monitoring. The supplier delivers and bills the service; we stay in your corner.

FAQ

Transport questions we hear often.

What is the difference between dedicated internet access and business broadband?

Dedicated internet access (DIA) gives a site a committed, symmetrical connection with a service-level agreement, which suits sites that run voice, cloud applications or many users. Business broadband is shared, usually asymmetrical and costs less, which suits smaller sites or backup links. Many multi-site organizations use a mix, and the right split depends on each site’s role.

Who delivers and bills the service?

The supplier you choose delivers and bills the service directly. Nimbl Networks advises on the design, runs the comparison and negotiation, advocates for you through installation, and stays on afterward as your escalation resource.

How much does it cost to work with Nimbl Networks?

There is no cost to you for working with Nimbl Networks. The easiest way to see how that works is a 30-minute meeting, where we walk through exactly how it works for an organization like yours, with no pressure and no obligation.

When should we start a transport review?

Six to twelve months before a contract renews is ideal, because design choices and negotiating leverage are still open. New sites, moves and carrier legacy-service retirements are also good triggers. We also help mid-project and after go-live.
